Well, first of all, I'm not sure I believe that. Government has, many times, slipped legislation through under our noses, but behind our backs. Secondly, what about the work place?

Does an employer have the right to require you to take a shot that has not been proven effective? Or even safe? I would like to say, "Certainly not!", but I'm not a lawyer.

I will say, though, that we do not have to do business with organizations that make this kind of demands on their employees! There are several hospitals in the area. Call around...find one that treats their people fairly. If they don't get it right, they go out of business. The other hospitals get all the patients, and the nurses and other employees who lost their jobs can go over there to work.

I've been told that this is going on in Skagit Valley Hospital, as well, and there are probably others. Look...if you want a flu shot, get one, at your own risk. If you want a swine flu shot, get one. But those who don't want to take the risk should not have to!

One of my mentors once said, "Anyone who won't stand for something will fall for anything ."

Take a stand.

There aren't many out there who are really interested in preserving our freedom. I feel really weird saying that! Doesn't everyone want to be free? We're losing it, folks. Little by little, we're losing our freedom.

Take a stand.

It's up to us.

OBAMA'S CITIZENSHIP

The other day I asked a liberal acquaintence if he had seen the pictures of Obama bowing before an Arab (moslem) king. He said, "He did not!" I said, "The pictures are there! He sure did!" He says, "Well that's just protocol". I ask, "Is it? When has an American President ever bowed before a moslem?" Not being willing to admit that that had never happened, he simply stated, "Well, we'll just have to wait and see how he performs" and walked away, terminating the conversation.

How much of his performance will be enough? Do we have to wait until there's nothing left of America? He's traveling around the world badmouthing our country. Yesterday he told a moslem audience, "America is not, and never has been a Christian country. We are a country of citizens". What kind of nonsence is that!!?? "In God We Trust" is stamped on all of our coins and printed on all our paper money. The 10 Commandments are chisled in stone and caste in bronze all over our nation's capitol! George Washington gave God credit for winning the Revolutionary War. There are many references to God and His blessings on America in the writings of the forefathers. These are easy to find and read on line at the Library of Congress, http://www.loc.gov/index.html . See for yourself!
We don't need or want our President to preach evangelistic sermons at his "town hall" meetings, but we should require that he acknowledge Who made us what we are!

The Constitution of the United States requires that a candidate for President must be a native born citizen of this country.

If you agree, then PLEASE go here:
http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=81550
and join 350,000 others by signing the petition to require the production of proof of his citizenship. Well, I've been reading books for a lot of years, and moslem used to be spelled with an "o". When and where did the "u" come from? I know that's the way "they" spell it. Is it "PC"? I am neither moslem or PC, so I'm sticking with the "o", thank you very much. And I will not capitalize moslem, either!

I may be wrong, but that's what I think.

Can we please get some Miami Dade justice in Washington?

MIAMI — A sandy shoreline runs outside Patrick Wiese's front door. A white crane toes through gentle blue-green waters as the sun beams overhead. The view of downtown is spectacular, the fishing good and the rent free.
Yet he'd give it all up for a bed in a warehouse.
Wiese is among 52 sex offenders living under a busy bridge over Biscayne Bay that connects Miami to Miami Beach. The state insisted two years ago it would urge them to leave, but the community has only grown.
It has become a makeshift town of parolees and others who struggle to find affordable housing that doesn't violate strict local ordinances against sex offenders living too close to schools, parks and other places children congregate.
In the angled area where the bridge meets a concrete slope, residents have put up domed tents, a shack housing a makeshift kitchen, a camper, even a weight bench. They've spray painted the slope and the pillars supporting the bridge: "We 'R' Not Monsters." "They Treat Animals Better!!!" "Why?"
"They throw us under here and just hope that we can do something ourselves," said 47-year-old Wiese, standing in the doorway to a small shack made of collected wood scraps. "If I was a murderer, they would help me, they would find me a home, and they would find me a job."
Once entered in the sex offender registry, a person typically stays for life. In Miami-Dade County, such people must live at least 2,500 feet from places children gather, making only a handful of areas — generally out of an offender's price range — possible homes. The county's rules governing its 1,030 registered sex offenders are considered among the state's most restrictive.
Many offenders have family or friends who would house them but can't because they live too close to a school or playground or bus stop.
“This is un-American," said Carlene Sawyer, chapter president of the Miami chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union.
I disagree!! In America we should put child molesters in prison! When, and how, did it become our responsibility to provide jobs and housing for them? They “R” monsters and we treat animals better for good reason.
Every few weeks I get a flier from the police department informing me that another one of them has been released into my neighborhood. There is a picture of the molester, a description of his crime, and a footnote that he is very likely to re-offend! You can’t get 1000 feet from a school, park or some other place where children play in my neighborhood. How much sense does that make???!!! I don’t want one of them in my neighborhood, with or without any children.
How about keeping them in prison? What’s wrong with that idea? Too expensive? Then just give them a fishing pole and a one way trip to “Child Molester Island”, 1000 miles from nowhere. There, they could eat tropical fruits, fish and live out their days molesting each other to their hearts content.
As always…I could be wrong, but that’s what I think.

Just pretend for a moment.

You're sound asleep when you hear a thump outside your bedroom door. Half-awake, and nearly paralyzed with fear, you hear muffled whispers. At least two people have broken into your house and are moving your way. With your heart pumping, you reach down beside your bed and pick up your shotgun. You rack a shell into the chamber, then inch toward the door and open it. In the darkness, you make out two shadows..One holds something that looks like a crowbar. When the intruder brandishes it as if to strike, you raise the shotgun and fire. The blast knocks both thugs to the floor. One writhes and screams while the second man crawls to the front door and lurches outside. As you pick up the telephone to call police, you know you're in trouble.

In your country, most guns were outlawed years before, and the few that are privately owned are so stringently regulated as to make them useless. Yours was never registered. Police arrive and inform you that the second burglar has died. They arrest you for First Degree Murder and Illegal Possession of a Firearm. When you talk to your attorney, he tells you not to worry: authorities will probably plea the case down to manslaughter."What kind of sentence will I get?" you ask."Only ten-to-twelve years," he replies, as if that's nothing. "Behave yourself, and you'll be out in seven."

The next day, the shooting is the lead story in the local newspaper. Somehow, you're portrayed as an eccentric vigilante while the two men you shot are represented as choirboys. Their friends and relatives can't find an unkind word to say about them. Buried deep down in the article, authorities acknowledge that both "victims" have been arrested numerous times. But the next day's headline says it all: "Lovable Rogue Son Didn't Deserve to Die." The thieves have been transformed from career criminals into Robin Hood-type pranksters. As the days wear on, the story takes wings. The national media picks it up, then the international media. The surviving burglar has become a folk hero.Your attorney says the thief is preparing to sue you, and he'll probably win. The media publishes reports that your home has been burglarized several times in the past and that you've been critical of local police for their lack of effort in apprehending the suspects. After the last break-in, you told your neighbor that you would be prepared next time. The District Attorney uses this to allege that you were lying in wait for the burglars.

A few months later, you go to trial. The charges haven't been reduced, as your lawyer had so confidently predicted. When you take the stand, your anger at the injustice of it all works against you. Prosecutors paint a picture of you as a mean, vengeful man. It doesn't take long for the jury to convict you of all charges. The judge sentences you to life in prison.

This case really happened!

On August 22, 1999, Tony Martin of Emneth, Norfolk , England , killed one burglar and wounded a second. In April, 2000, he was convicted and is now serving a life term. How did it become a crime to defend one's own life in the once great British Empire ?

It started with the Pistols Act of 1903. This seemingly reasonable law forbade selling pistols to minors or felons and established that handgun sales were to be made only to those who had a license. The Firearms Act of 1920 expanded licensing to include not only handguns but all firearms except shotguns.Later laws passed in 1953 and 1967 outlawed the carrying of any weapon by private citizens and mandated the registration of all shotguns.

Momentum for total handgun confiscation began in earnest after the Hungerford mass shooting in 1987. Michael Ryan, a mentally disturbed Man with a Kalashnikov rifle, walked down the streets shooting everyone he saw. When the smoke cleared, 17 people were dead. The British public, already de-sensitized by eighty years of "gun control", demanded even tougher restrictions. (The seizure of all privately owned handguns was the objective even though Ryan used a rifle.)

Nine years later, at Dunblane , Scotland , Thomas Hamilton used a semi-automatic weapon to murder 16 children and a teacher at a public school.

For many years, the media had portrayed all gun owners as mentally unstable, or worse, criminals. Now the press had a real kook with which to beat up law-abiding gun owners. Day after day, week after week, the media gave up all pretense of objectivity and demanded a total ban on all handguns. The Dunblane Inquiry, a few months later, sealed the fate of the few sidearms still owned by private citizens.

During the years in which the British government incrementally took away most gun rights, the notion that a citizen had the right to armed self-defense came to be seen as vigilantism. Authorities refused to grant gun licenses to people who were threatened, claiming that self-defense was no longer considered a reason to own a gun. Citizens who shot burglars or robbers or rapists were charged while the real criminals were released.

Indeed, after the Martin shooting, a police spokesman was quoted as saying, "We cannot have people take the law into their own hands." All of Martin's neighbors had been robbed numerous times, and several elderly people were severely injured in beatings by young thugs who had no fear of the consequences. Martin himself, a collector of antiques, had seen most of his collection trashed or stolen by burglars.

When the Dunblane Inquiry ended, citizens who owned handguns were given three months to turn them over to local authorities. Being good British subjects, most people obeyed the law. The few who didn't were visited by police and threatened with ten-year prison sentences if they didn't comply. Police later bragged that they'd taken nearly 200,000 handguns from private citizens.

How did the authorities know who had handguns?
The guns had been registered and licensed. Kinda like cars.

Sound familiar?

WAKE UP AMERICA, THIS IS WHY OUR FOUNDING FATHERS PUT THE SECOND AMENDMENT IN OUR CONSTITUTION.

"..it does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds.."
--Samuel Adams

If you think this is important, please take a stand and speak up, while you have the right.

One of my favorite websites:
www.outbackcustombuildings.com

We get a lot of positive feedback (strokes) by word of mouth. Therefore, it is very hard to understand
why there is such a mess about having the Ten Commandments on display or 'In God We Trust' on our money and having God in the Pledge of Allegiance. The fun and the not so fun. Sometimes we will expound on an original thought, and other times we'll just be passing on information from an other source.

I have always rejected Al Gore's theory that it's somehow my fault that the weather seems to change from time to time. Some respected scientists also reject the idea. The following is from a letter from WC Douglas at thedouglassreport.com

See what you think!

Global warming distracting from dangers of looming ice age?

Dear Friend,

I'm not a fan of President Obama's new stimulus plan that's intended to kick-start our flagging economy. Too many billions have been earmarked for projects that will likely stimulate little more than more useless government programs.

Case in point: the $400 million that's been set aside just to study global warming (who's that stimulating?). The stimulus bill also calls for doubling the production of renewable energy, "improving energy efficiency" for 2 million homes and 75 percent of government buildings (whatever that means) and upping the number of those silly, underpowered plug-in hybrid cars (which, by the way, are made in not-so-earth-friendly factories).

Here's the kicker: there's a new study out of Russia that claims that the real weather problem may not be warming, but global cooling. According to the report, "The earth is now on the brink of entering another ice age, according to a large and compelling body of evidence from within the field of climate science."

Now, I'm not the biggest fan of Pravda or the Russians. But I think they've hit the nail on the head with this one. After all, it's not just Pravda saying this. Even though Al Gore and his moronic minions won't acknowlege it, there are plenty of scientists who are of the opionion that manmade global warming is a load of utter hooey.

The Pravda report says that Gore, and other global warming fanatics like NASA physicist James Hansen and NASA climatologist Gavin Schmidt, are actually drawing attention away from the dangers of the approaching ice age with all their nonsensical global warming nonsense.

I've told you many times that I count myself among those who don't think there's anything at all to the panic of global warming. Frankly, I think it's a racket. And I find it hilarious that on more than one occasion, global warming conferences have been delayed by ice and blizzards. The most recent was an Al Gore led summit in Washington, D.C. this past January. You'd think these guys would learn to schedule these events in July to avoid such bad PR.

The Pravda report goes on to point out that Gore's entire theory is based upon the now- famous "hockey stick graph" used in his laughably inaccurate 2006 documentary "An Inconvenient Truth." This graph indicates a sharp rise in global temperatures (in the shape of a hockey stick) beginning in the 1970s. The problem is this "trend" has been upset by the brutal winter of 2007/2008, which according to the report, saw the Northern Hemisphere blanketed with the deepest snow since 1966 — and the coldest temperatures. And this winter isn't much better.

And yet, the global warming camp always seems to conveniently ignore these cold, hard inconvenient truths.

Here's one of our beautiful buildings!

Glad to see you visiting my blog!
